We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the Bulkley Valley District Hospital. In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, the Registered Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model. The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, participates in the delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs. Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, providing and evaluating nursing care and by administering systemic therapy treatments to clients. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

Shift Rotation / Hours of work : Week 1 Monday - Thursday; Week 2 Tuesday – Friday, Days, 07 : 00 to 15 : 00

Bulkley Valley District Hospital is a 24-bed Acute Care facility, which integrates home and community care into one facility. Some of the services include :

Smithers Smithers is located in the picturesque Bulkley Valley surrounded by three mountain ranges which provide a backdrop for the town’s Alpine setting. The main industries include forestry, tourism, transportation and agriculture. Smithers offers affordable housing and natural splendor that support a balanced lifestyle. The population of Smithers is approximately 6,000, with an additional 5,000 from the surrounding communities that access services. There are three elementary schools, one secondary school, one alternate format school for grades 9-12 and Coast Mountain College.
