Job description

Our client, a building structure contractor are looking to hire a Structural Engineer with experience working on construction buildings within the residential, institutional, commercial or industrial sectors

As a Structural Engineer your key accountabilities will involve :

  • Designing and analyzing building structures, ensuring they meet structural integrity standards.
  • Developing detailed structural models using AutoCAD and other design software.
  • Assessing environmental and human-induced loads to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Selecting appropriate construction materials aligned with project specifications.
  • Supervising and providing technical guidance to on-site construction teams.
  • Ensuring adherence to construction safety regulations and standards.
  • Managing budgets effectively and allocating resources appropriately.
  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress, identifying and resolving any challenges.
  • Collaborating closely with contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders.

As a Structural Engineer your experience and qualifications will include :

  • Proven experience as a Structural Engineer or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software is a bonus.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng) preferred.
