Lifemark’s Home and Community Care division, Community Advantage Rehabilitation (CAR) is looking for a Registered Occupational Therapist to provide services to pediatric clients focusing on fine motor development. This is a grassroots opportunity as it allows for the successful applicant to participate in program development, creating tailored interventions that meet the needs of the pediatric community.

OT Responsibilities :
Provide private Occupational Therapy services to pediatric client’s in-person and / or virtuallyProvide direct treatment and consultation, both individually and in small groupsProvide occupational therapy assessment to identify strengths, challenges, and therapeutic objectivesPlan, organize and implement occupational therapy sessions tailored to each child’s behavioral, sensory, developmental, and social needsAssign care plan, and provide supervision and monitoring of occupational therapy assistants when appropriateEffectively communicate information by providing education to client / caregiversComplete and maintain current and accurate documentation related to assessment findings, care plans, progress and discharge summaries according to CAR, the referral source and COTO standards using EMR technologyParticipate in program development and evaluationRequirements :
Registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (required)Experience working within a community setting is an asset but new graduates are welcomeAbility to work independently and as part of an inter-professional teamAbility to prioritize, manage self-scheduling and meet reporting deadlinesExcellent oral, written and report writing skillsProficiency with computersStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsReliable transportation is required for this positionVisit us on -
