Responsibilities :

  • Proactively support professionals in managing and following up on their files.
  • Coordinate schedules and ensure follow-ups for all appointments, meetings, hearings, events, and committees involving the assigned professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines, client file follow-ups, and deliverables.
  • Professionally and courteously make reminders and follow-ups with current and potential clients.
  • Prepare the required documentation for the various scheduled events.
  • Transcribe dictations.
  • Proofread and correct documents.
  • Handle file openings and billing.
  • Prepare expense allocations.
  • Perform various other administrative tasks as needed.
  • What you will need to succeed :

  • Diploma in Secretarial Studies, Legal Secretarial Studies, or equivalent training.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in legal secretarial work, specifically in labor and employment law.
  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written, is required to support lawyers with an English-speaking clientele (French and English).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word (intermediate / advanced), Outlook, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Maître and iManage Work 10 software (an asset).
  • Client-oriented, courteous, and professional demeanor.
  • Sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Team spirit and initiative.
