What you will be doing :
Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, and / or distributedPulls and prepares product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loadedSorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product codeAssembles customer orders from stock, stage orders and / or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department according to OH or customer pick sheetLoads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products and materials using a fork lift, clamp truck or other power equipmentMaintains equipment by keeping it clean and safe, reporting service requests as neededAssists in maintaining the security of the warehouse by conducting operations in a manner which promotes safetyChecks orders for exactness and neatness according to ISO 9001 proceduresMarks materials with identifying informationRecords amounts of materials or items received or distributedWeighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standardsEfficiently moves and loads product from staging and / or storage areas into trailersUnloads inbound freight safely and moves products to storage locationsPerforms picking duties in an efficient manner that meets both company and customer standardsAssists with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotationAssists in distribution center / warehouse cleanup as requiredOther duties as required and assignedFor food accounts, incumbent is responsible to report food safety problems to senior management to initiate action.Requirements :
High school education or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalencyMinimum 3 to 6 months experience and / or training in a warehouse environmentPrevious experience operating warehouse equipment such as a forklift preferredAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosAbility to follow safety regulations while operating equipmentAbility to regularly lift up to 50 poundsAbility to learn proper operations of warehouse equipmentThe following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
