About the opportunity :
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for all the field sales team and sales process for the respective regions. The incumbent also manages all aspects of the relationship with the regional key accounts and contracted customers, which involves participating in Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance and Customer Service support of all regional retail sales. The position is accountable for delivering volume, net sales and profitability objectives across all Lactalis branded and private label businesses.
The attributes we are looking for :
- Lead and manage a Sales team by hiring, reviewing performance and providing feedback, determining training and development needs, establishing goals and priorities, providing work direction, and maintaining succession planning. Develop and coach a team to manage customers at both account management and field sales level.
- Insure the proper execution and follow-up of the field sales process for his region.
- Develop, implement, and communicate go-to-market strategies on pricing, advertised features for promotions, and merchandising ensuring execution by team members.
- Implement and manage company policies and objectives and communicate to internal and external stakeholders in order to maximize customer service and functional team support.
- Manage assigned budgets for the region by establishing budget needs and obtaining approval.
- Monitor competitive market activity and communicate to senior management recommendations that have a direct effect on Lactalis business in the region.
- Develop and execute annual business and trade spend plans for the region in order to achieve Lactalis annual sales volume, net sales, and profitability objectives.
- Develop and administer new customer contracts and contract renewals. Negotiate terms and conditions (i.e. pricing, volume, length, and exclusivity arrangements) and coordinate with senior management and legal to ensure alignment and implementation.
- Implement price increases by coordinating information through Lactalis Trade Marketing to regional Retail accounts to ensure effective and timely implementation of price increases as required to meet company deadlines.
- Prepare category reviews and leverage insights to identify sales opportunities and improve Lactalis’s category position. Utilize this information to secure new product listings and implement account, category, and / or regional specific sales and marketing initiatives.
- Deliver Positive KPI results based on specific targets set each year within the specific region of responsibility.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Distribution to initiate new business opportunities, resolve issues, and provide optimal customer service.
- Review profitability of existing customers and new customer opportunities to ensure acceptable margins are being obtained.
- Monitor negotiations between Retail Account Managers and their respective customers. Assist in negotiations of large / strategic customer contracts if and as required.
What you will bring :
