Minimum Requirements :

Two years of related experience

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

4th Class Power (Operating) Engineer Certification through the Technical Safety BC (TSBC)

Proven mechanical aptitude to allow hands-on operation of plant equipment

Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting and strong communication skills with the ability to make timely decisions associated with process upsets

A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record

Responsibilities :

Ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment according to established terminal practices, procedures and operating guidelines

Work on a dynamic crew and cover a qualified post within an operating unit

Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting in order to maintain process equipment

Monitor the operation and equipment for deviations

Report and appropriately flag all issues beyond your scope to your leader

Monitor and adjust equipment and process variables to maintain a safe and environmentally sound operation and to ensure product quality

Maintain housekeeping at a high level to ensure a safe work environment

Location and other Key Details :

You will work out of our Burrard Products terminal office located at 1155 Glenayre Drive, Port Moody, British Columbia

The shift schedule is a 12-hour shift rotation of days and nights; the schedule rotation varies

This position is safety sensitive

This role requires you to adhere to our clean-shaven policy and perform some heavy lifting, work from heights with the capability of performing in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces

There will be physical requirements to safely perform all essential aspects / responsibilities of an operator's position, including effective emergency response
