Bird Stairs is seeking a conscientious and motivated candidate to fill the role of Senior Accountant. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and be able to perform under the supervision of the Controller.
Within this role you will be responsible for :
- Assist the Controller in preparing and consolidating financial statements, and providing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
- Support the month end close process by providing analysis, reports and completing journal entries.
- Assist the Controller with the annual budget and forecasting.
- Coordinate external audits and work with auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Resolving financial problems, performing internal audits, and analyzing financial performance.
- Maintaining the fixed asset schedule.
- Overseeing the Concur expense platform
- Performing general ledger reviews.
- Aiding in the payroll process.
- Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
- Capable of lifting up to 50-pound boxes
Qualifications :
CPA designation requiredAt least 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting.High attention to detail and organizationAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to work collaboratively and effectively under conditions with frequent interruptions / high pressureReliable with previous good attendance recordReliable transportationAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, word, outlook)Knowledge of ERP systems (SYSPRO experience would be an asset)The ideal candidate will be :
