Job Description
Based on the guidelines of the general management, the Senior BI Analyst contributes to finding, proposing and designing analytical environments with high decision-making added value. You will be responsible for the design and development of BI solutions using platforms such as Power BI, Powers Apps, Power Automate. You will have to ensure optimal use of the data and present recommendations in this regard.
Responsabilities
- Develop, analyze and implement decision support tools for the various departments and departments of the organization;
- Train and support analysts from other departments in the use of Power BI
- Participate in the definition of standards, data governance and promote compliance with business intelligence standards;
- Perform modeling tasks and implement Power BI datasets;
- Develop ad hoc reports, dashboards and analyses;
- Document source data, business rules and datasets;
- Identify opportunities for improving performance indicators and participate in their implementation;
- Actively participate in the development of the business intelligence strategic plan.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or in an appropriate discipline; Microsoft Power Platform certification, an asset.Experience in financial analysis (Major asset)Minimum of 3 years experience in Business Intelligence;Any other combination of training and experience deemed equivalent will be considered;Ability to analyze and synthesize, conceptualization, sense of result, rigor;Ability to take into account the collective interest and excellent communication skills;Sense of innovation and on the lookout for technological developments;Strong experience and knowledge of Microsoft Business Intelligence tools (Microsoft Power Platform and SQL server, etc);Strong experience in writing multidimensional expression query (MDX) and data analysis (DAX);Mastery of the SQL language;Good management of priorities and ability to manage several files at the same time;Oral and written fluency in French and EnglishA good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.Additional Information
