Role Description

Current Instrumentation & Automation Inc. is seeking a Field Service Instrumentation Technician for a full-time. The Field Service Technician will perform commissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repairs, and calibrations to industrial instrumentation and automation systems and equipment. The Technician will work with the service team, business development and inside team to identify and provide solutions for clients in various industries, including steel, oil and gas, chemical, water, wastewater, plastic, building materials and manufacturing. As we are a customer-centric organization, you may need to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to respond to emergencies and project demands when required.

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of field experience in the instrumentation field
  • A good understanding of industrial instrumentation and equipment, including temperature, pressure, level, flow, gas analyzers, and fixed toxic and flammable gas detection.
  • Familiarity with automation & electrical systems and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a customer-centric mindset & ability to manage customer expectations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, collaborate effectively
  • An electrical license is an asset
  • Comfortable with lifting weights, working from heights and confined spaces
  • Valid Canadian work permit
  • Ability to travel to the USA for training and customer support

Note : Comfortable with travelling across Canada and occasionally outside Canada
