Job Title : A / P and Billing Clerk
Location : Markham, ON
Type : 12 month contract (to cover Maternity leave)
Hours : Regular business hours : Monday to Friday
Compensation : Competitive Hourly Rate based on experience
Other : A reliable, insured vehicle and a valid driver’s license is a requirement for this role.
Overview :
As a member of the Finance team, this role is responsible for Accounts Payable and Billing. This role will work with the Sales and Operations on a variety of tasks and will get exposure to payroll, invoicing and other accounting activities.
Confidentiality & the ability to work with others and deal with them in a positive way with customers is mandatory for this position.
Key Functions :
- Accounts Payable processing and matching, coding of invoices and cheques.
- Accounts Receivable including processing customer invoices.
- Importing invoicing into QuickBase
- Filing and preparing HST & QST returns.
- Bank Deposits, reconciliations and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Opening and sorting mail
- Filing as required
- Travel Reservations
- Other projects
Requirements :
- Education : Relevant post secondary education : Accounting diploma considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written English language communication skills are a must have for this role.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant, recent experience
- Must be detail-oriented, accurate and organized with the ability to multi task.
- Knowledge and experience with MS Office (Excel, Word) is required.
- Experience with Quickbooks is a definite asset.
