Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization in the mining industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient and accurate processing of accounts payable functions while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal staff.

Responsibilities :

• Process and record invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals before entering them into the accounting system.
• Manage payment schedules and intercompany financial records to maintain accurate accounts.
• Address inquiries from vendors and internal staff, providing timely resolutions to issues and discrepancies.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Generate regular accounts payable reports for internal use and audits.
• Collaborate on ad hoc projects and tasks as needed to support the finance department.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments to maintain operational efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and service providers to ensure smooth transactions.
• At least two years of experience in full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable and bank reconciliation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and team members.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated team player capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting systems is an asset.
• Experience with invoice coding, check runs, and data entry processes.
