Asa Plans Examiner / Plan Reviewer you will be responsible forreviewing and approving building plans and construction documentsto ensure compliance with local codes regulations and standards.Your role will be essential in facilitating the permit process andensuring that construction projects meet all required safety anddesigncriteria.

KeyResponsibilities :

• Reviewand analyze building plans blueprints and construction documentsfor compliance with local building codes zoning regulations andsafetystandards.
• Assessthe technical aspects of plans including structural integrity firesafety accessibility and energyefficiency.
• Providefeedback and recommendations for plan modifications to ensurecompliance and resolveissues.
• Collaboratewith architects engineers and contractors to address technicalconcerns and clarify coderequirements.
• Issuepermits and approvals for construction projects based on planreviews and complianceassessments.
• Preparedetailed reports on plan reviews approvals and code compliance fordocumentation andrecordkeeping.
• Stayupdated on changes to building codes regulations and industry bestpractices to ensure accurate and currentassessments.
• Communicateeffectively with stakeholders including property owners buildersand municipal officials to facilitate the permit and approvalprocess.

Requirements

Relevant certification or diploma in Building Inspection,Architectural Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Provenexperience as a plans examiner, plan reviewer, or in a similarrole, with a strong understanding of building codes andregulations. Excellent analytical skills with the ability tointerpret complex plans and technical documents. Strong attentionto detail and organizational skills for managing plan reviews anddocumentation. Effective communication skills for interacting withvarious stakeholders and providing clear guidance. Ability to staycurrent with evolving building codes, regulations, and industrypractices.
