Overview of Role :

D2 is actively seeking talented and driven individuals to join our Risk Management Team. We are sourcing candidates to support a diverse range of public and private infrastructure projects in Ontario and across multiple sectors (e.g. Transportation, Healthcare). We are seeking candidates of varying experience levels to contribute to the successful delivery of our clients projects. We are looking for professionals who have experience within Project Controls / Planning or Scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement risk management frameworks in alignment with best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tailored risk management plans to address project-level risks.
  • Facilitate risk workshops and engage with stakeholders to identify, assess, prioritize and quantify project risks.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project-level risk registers specific to scope.
  • Guide the development of mitigation plans and associated response actions to support the appropriate management of risk throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct quantitative risk analysis (both cost and schedule) using Monte Carlo simulation to support decision-making.
  • Design and delivery of risk reports to detail project risk exposure in a cyclical manner and to support targeted mitigation efforts.
  • Support lessons learned reviews and interface with other project controls disciplines to ensure the development of key products (e.g. project estimates, schedules).

Requirements :

  • Experience : 5-15 years of experience in risk management within a major projects environment (e.g. transportation, infrastructure, energy).
  • Experience within Project Controls / Planning or Scheduling
  • Software Proficiency : Experience using industry standard risk management / analysis tools such as @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Fuse, Safran Risk and Active Risk Manager, or similar.
  • Facilitation Skills : Strong facilitation skills with experience in conducting risk workshops and engaging with a wide variety of project stakeholders.
  • Delivery Models & Contracting Strategies (preferable) : Familiarity with a wide variety of delivery models and contracting strategies deemed an asset – e.g. progressive design-build, Alliance, CM@Risk, DBB, P3.
  • Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex challenges.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex risk information and analysis outputs to diverse audiences.
  • Education : A degree in a relevant field is preferred (e.g. engineering, construction management).
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, RMP, AACE or equivalent are a plus.
