Your opportunity

Dillon’s Physical Hydrogeology discipline is looking for an Environmental Technician / Technologist to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.

At Dillon, we operate as one team. This position is available at our Fredericton or Saint John office .

Responsibilities

What your day will look like

Field Activities

• Coordinate and complete contaminated sites projects, including Phase I, II & III Environmental Site Assessments, hydrogeological investigations (pumping tests), soil / groundwater / surface water / sediment / soil vapour sampling programs, and contaminated site remediation projects
• Complete documentation of field activities, site safety meetings, among others in paper and digital formats (as required)
• Coordinate and complete hazardous materials surveys including asbestos and lead sampling and assist in air emissions testing programs
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain project specific equipment
• Mentor and develop junior field staff
• Ability to work in remote locations for up to two weeks, with possible interprovincial travel
• Ability to work overtime if needed
• Ability to work alone with limited direction
