Verification Engineer – Microchip Technology Inc.

Microchip is currently looking for a Verification Engineer to join our Communications Business Unit (CBU) in Burnaby, BC, Canada. The CBU is a premier supplier for 100Gbps+ optical networking and connectivity solutions for telecom and hyperscale data center networks.

The Verification Engineer will be responsible for verification of digital integrated circuits at the block, subsystem or device level. The role involves collaborating with chip architects, subsystem leads, and verification team members to deliver increasingly complex designs in a friendly, supportive and professional environment.

The Role Of The Verification Engineer Includes

• Work within a team to verify designs at the block, subsystem or device level.
• Understand the features of a device to ensure error‑free functionality.
• Plan and execute tests under the mentorship of other team members.
• Develop verification components and testbenches in System Verilog (UVM).

From time to time, Verification Engineers may perform prototype testing in a lab environment and software development for the devices they have verified, helping to understand the design in a real‑world environment and provide insight into system‑level operation.

Pay Range

The annual base salary range for this position is $76,000 – $114,000.
