Who are we looking for…

Customer Service Advocate (14 months contract) with 3-5 years’ experience, responsible for the day-to-day operational administration of our Winnipeg facility involving client reception, logistics, scheduling, purchasing, billing, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Work with operations to schedule client appointments and coordinate changes / notifications.
  • Maintain waste receipt / shipment records, ensuring accuracy of Waste Manifests, Bills of Lading, and work orders.
  • Follow applicable regulations regarding waste transportation, receiving, and management.
  • Complete and organize internal and regulated documents daily, including lab analytical reports, work orders, BOLs, manifests, driver logs, hazard assessments, etc.
  • Prepare work orders based on service requests and complete billing post-service with attention to detail.
  • Handle customer and facility inquiries, directing them appropriately.
  • Create and update customer accounts, waste classification, and pricing profiles within our CRM system.
  • Generate waste diversion and other reports for clients and management.
  • Perform general office administration, including document storage and filing.
  • Assist with procurement and purchasing activities as needed.
  • Monitor stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.
  • Organize warehouse, plan routes, and process shipments.
  • Analyze performance data and implement improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and ISO standards.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • University degree or College Diploma, preferably in environmental science or transportation disciplines.
  • Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods is an asset.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in customer service and / or office administration.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to resolve problems independently within scope and escalate when necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Salary : $40,000 - $42,000 per year.
