About the role :
The Digital Engagement Specialist is essential to managing and enhancing our online presence across multiple digital platforms, business directories, and supporting social media initiatives while contributing to broader marketing efforts. This role demands a detail-oriented, innovative individual who excels in creating strategies to improve visibility, engagement, and overall digital performance within targeted communities. The position also involves leveraging analytics to inform continuous improvements in marketing efforts.
This role is pivotal in ensuring consistency, optimization, and innovation across all digital, social media, and online marketing initiatives while contributing to the broader success of the organization.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Burlington, ON at our WSA corporate office in a hybrid working model with 2-3 days per week onsite.
What you'll be responsible for :
- Website Management : Maintain and update website content to ensure it remains current and engaging. Develop new content that aligns with brand voice and marketing objectives, enhancing the overall digital experience.
- Email Marketing : Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to engage customers and drive retention. Utilize the CRM database to segment audiences, create targeted messaging, and evaluate the effectiveness of email communications through reporting and analysis.
- Manage Online Presence : Oversee and maintain accurate and consistent business listings for all retail centers and wholesale brands across online directories, including Google, Bing, and Apple Business. Regularly update information and images to ensure alignment with brand standards.
- Social Media Support : Act as a key contributor to social media initiatives. This includes providing content ideas, ensuring alignment with broader marketing objectives, and collaborating on strategies to drive engagement and visibility.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with teams such as Operations, Client Care, and the social media team to ensure seamless integration of marketing efforts from lead generation to customer conversion.
- Market Awareness and Trend Analysis : Stay informed about industry trends and developments in hearing care marketing to inspire innovative ideas and maintain a competitive edge.
- Additional Responsibilities : Support business needs by performing other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring :
Post-secondary education in a related field at the College or University level; education, courses or certificates in a Marketing (or similar) capacity would be a definite asset.3+ years of experience in a marketing capacity with a minimum of 2 years of prior digital marketing experience with a strong focus on local Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and community engagement, ideally gained within an agency, retail, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment.Demonstrated ability to write well, with strong grammar and an engaging style suitable for digital content.Experience in coordinating and optimizing local SEM organic and paid campaigns and fostering community relations.Strong understanding of current digital marketing tools and strategies, specifically for enhancing local visibility and community interaction.Basic knowledge of analytics tools and principles, with a curiosity and eagerness to learn and explore data to inform marketing strategies.Experience in healthcare consumer marketing is advantageous but not mandatory.Business-acumen to spot opportunities, trends, and innovation and translate them into marketing strategies and plans through campaign strategy development, execution, and post-campaign reportingComfortability operating in a highly matrixed environment fostering a deep understanding of the market, digital trends, client trends, and competitive activitiesCreativity and innovation mindset driven to bring new ideas to the organizationAbility to work with and manage external vendors to deliver results within designated timelinesStrong communication and stakeholder management skills to work with people across all levels of seniority in the organizationSelf-starter attitude with the ability to handle conflicting priorities and deadlinesWhat we offer :
