About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to support the upkeep and reliability of our facility systems in alignment with ISO certification standards. In this role, you will perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and various mechanical systems. You’ll play a key part in supporting production as equipment is moved, rebuilt, and optimized—particularly on older machines that require regular attention.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain facility systems in compliance with ISO certification standards
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues throughout the facility
• Set up, maintain, and repair machinery, including hydraulics and pneumatics
• Manage facility systems such as HVAC, boilers, compressors, and purified water systems
• Support system maintenance during production line moves and rebuilds

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
• Education in industrial maintenance, such as a diploma, Red Seal, or equivalent
• Experience with HVAC systems, boilers, compressors, purified water systems, mechanical and electrical systems
• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, and general facility maintenance

Additional Qualifications

• Ability to work rotating shifts with occasional on‑call requirements
• Willingness to transition to a set shift by 2025
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot older, high‑touch equipment

Work Environment

• Meticulously maintained facility with smocks provided for both sterile and non-sterile work areas
• Large, walkable campus featuring a spacious kitchen and on‑site gym available during breaks
• Work may involve rotating between clean and potentially dirty areas depending on maintenance needs

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arnprior, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.
