About the Role : The Mechanical Engineer will provide mechanical engineering and design of buildings systems. Including planning, design, execution, and completion of projects for clients. Mechanical engineering designs will include design, tendering and contract administration of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, boilers, and chillers at new and existing facilities. Buildings can include commercial, institutional, residential and some light industrial. They will act as Project Manager on single discipline projects. Ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget. This role will provide technical expertise, guidance, training, and mentorship to their team.Salary : $100 000 to $120 000Logistics : hybrid position in Toronto, ONHere's what you'll be doing : Responsible for managing multiple mechanical buildings systems projects, including 1) overall project scope and deliverables, 2) CAD deliverables, and 3) project budgets and financialsContributing to the design and development of mechanical systems for building projects while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standardsParticipating in site assessments and reviews to verify the performance and functionality of mechanical systemsProviding technical support to project teams, contractors, and clients, and actively participating in project planning and coordination effortsAssisting in the preparation of engineering calculations, reports and staying updated with advancements in mechanical engineering technologies and best practicesCoordinate with architectural team and other engineering disciplines, and actively participate in project planning and budgetingDesign and engineer building-related systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, boilers, and chillers.Take responsibility for the production of construction documents and construction administration for projects, and review and approve technical documentationConduct quality assurance checks, foster innovation, and drive continuous improvement within the engineering teamHere's what you'll need : Professional Engineering license with PEO (P.Eng)Completion of a bachelor’s degree in engineering with Mechanical Engineering focus.6-10+ years relevant working experience in mechanical building systems engineering.Commercial, Institutional, and Residential building design experience considered an asset.Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills for effective internal and client interactionsPossess an excellent understanding of the Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code, Plumbing Code, NFPA, ASHRAE standards
