Job description

Position : Information Security Manager

Location : GTA, Hybrid

Are you an experienced cybersecurity professional with a passion for risk management, governance, and program development? We're seeking a dynamic Information Security Manager to lead and shape the cybersecurity initiatives at an innovative company. If you have a strong background in IT, governance, and risk management, and you're ready to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities :

  • Cybersecurity Program Management : Organize and manage the full cybersecurity program, encompassing strategy, project management, governance, and risk management. Ensure all pillars work together cohesively to create a robust security posture.
  • Risk Management : Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks. Ensure appropriate risk management strategies are in place to address and manage ongoing and emerging threats.
  • Governance & Compliance : Develop, review, and implement policies, standards, and frameworks related to cybersecurity. Work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Incident Management : Provide oversight for incident response and crisis management, ensuring teams are well-prepared for potential security breaches and can respond effectively.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record in risk management and governance. Previous experience managing or overseeing a cybersecurity program is highly preferred.
  • Certifications : CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is a must-have. Additional certifications such as CISM, CISA, or CCSP are advantageous but not required.
  • Technical Background : Strong understanding of IT systems and operations, even if not deeply technical.
  • Leadership : Demonstrated experience in leading teams and projects, especially in a cross-functional setting. Ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
  • Governance and Risk Management : In-depth knowledge of governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices specific to cybersecurity.

    The ideal candidate will have experience in both technical and governance aspects of cybersecurity. You should have a solid understanding of risk management practices and how to apply them in a real-world context, as well as experience in managing and leading security operations and strategy development.
