Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of residential and mixed-use construction projects. This key role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager serves as a proactive leader and problem-solver, fostering strong collaboration across teams while managing multiple project phases. This position requires flexibility to work out of town as needed across British Columbia and Alberta.
Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of project delivery, from pre-construction through final completion.
- Develop and manage budgets, schedules, scopes of work, and subcontracts.
- Oversee procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor milestones, critical paths, and deliverables to keep projects on track.
- Provide direction and support to site teams, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and fabrication teams to align objectives.
- Mentor junior project team members and promote a strong team culture.
- Coordinate between fabrication and site teams for seamless project execution.
- Monitor project budgets, forecast costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and progress claims.
- Support value engineering initiatives and strategic purchasing decisions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Lead project meetings and ensure effective communication across all stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
- Identify potential project risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
- Resolve project issues with professionalism, accountability, and agility.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry.Proven ability to manage complex contracts and permitting processes.Experience in remote or out-of-town project locations.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Willingness to travel and work at project sites across BC and Alberta.Work Environment
Work performed primarily on construction sites, often in loud, dusty, or hazardous conditions.May require working at heights, in confined spaces, or in various weather conditions.Shifts are typically 10–12 hours, with overtime expected.Compensation & Benefits
