Mailroom Clerk
Our client in the printing industry is seeking to fill a contract position for a leading insurance company. The role of Mailroom Clerk involves handling mail and packages performing basic printing tasks and supporting shipping operations.

Hourly salary of $19.61.
6month contract.
Fulltime position : 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday schedule from 9 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm.
Onsite position in a professional business casual setting.
Responsibilities :
Prepare mail and packages for shipment using common mail services (fax air express freight postal).
Receive sort and process incoming mail packages and supplies notifying recipients promptly.
Perform basic printing tasks using color production printers.
Track and manage shipping and receiving using automated systems maintaining accurate records.
Operate mailroom equipment including inserters sorters and finishing equipment while conducting quality checks on outgoing mail.
Record accountable mail information and maintain logs.
Arrange alternative shipping services when required and ensure packaging complies with company standards.
Maintain records for incoming and outgoing shipments.
Perform chargeback reporting for services such as postage and courier.
Handle mail labeling and mail merges as well as electronic mail distribution (including scanning and preparing mail).
Assist with fulfillment tasks including assembly packaging and preparing kitted materials.
Ensure mailroom security procedures are followed and help resolve mailrelated issues.
Perform scheduled mail pickups and deliveries.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary.
Lift and move up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for up to 80% of the workday.
What you will need to succeed :
High school diploma or equivalent (verification required).
6 months to 1 year of experience in a professional clientfacing environment.
Experience using mailing machines and pump trucks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and basic computer skills.
Good communication skills both verbal and written with a customer service mindset.
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and follow English instructions.
Selfmotivated and detailoriented with the ability to learn quickly.
Valid drivers license.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Able to be on your feet for up to 80% of the workday.
