This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the London, Ontario region. This role's duties will require planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff.

Major responsibilities
- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective
- Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
- Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
- Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required
- Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations
- Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports
- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G / L analysis
- Capable of handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties
- Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
- Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
Job Requirements :
- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
- Demonstrated knowledge of KPI Reporting
- Adeptness in auditing
- Variance analysis experience
- Month end closings experience
- Expertise in Internal Control
- General familiarity with financial statement preparation
- Cash Flow Reports experience highly desired
- Budget forecasting experience
- Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
- CPA / MBA preferred
- Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
- Vow to meet business deadlines
- Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
- Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
- BA / BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
