DUTIES
Reporting to the Manager, Student Recruitment, the successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out the Institution’s student recruitment and admission activities, as identified in the strategic plan.
- As part of the recruitment team, duties will include building and maintaining relationships with prospective and newly admitted students and key influencers;
- developing, implementing, and evaluating recruitment initiatives; developing and presenting information about the University to local, national, and international audiences;
- communicating with newly admitted students during the post-offer admission period to ensure students follow through with registration and successfully transition to University;
working closely with various departments across the University; and performing other related duties as required.
This position requires extensive travel, public appearances, and may include international travel; as well as some heavy lifting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (1-2 years) working with students in a post-secondary setting, preferably with a focus on student support services, recruitment and admissions;
completion of an Undergraduate degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Exceptional organizational, communication, planning, leadership, interpersonal, and public speaking skills are required.
Knowledge of the post-secondary education experience is required, with knowledge of Memorial University programs considered an asset.
Class 5 driver’s license as issued by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador is required. Valid Passport is required.
SALARY $54,770 - $82,150 per annum (Management and Professional)
