Dorosh Construction is a structural company, specializing in a wide range of concrete forming, placing, and finishing. Since 2012, Dorosh has been working for some of the most established general contractors and developers all across the Lower Mainland and throughout the province. The Company has successfully completed projects for numerous stakeholders including MoTI, Trans Mountain Pipeline, BC Transit, multiple school boards, and numerous municipalities.

JOB OVERVIEW : Executive Assistant – PART TIME

This role reports to Human Resources.

The Executive Assistant is the primary support position to Human Resources. As such, this role will deal with sensitive and confidential issues that often have significant impact on the organization and its employees. The position works independently and exercises initiative, judgment and strong organizational and problem-solving skills to complete the work. This position performs a wide variety of administrative support services, ranging from full-cycle recruitment to event planning and day to day reports, all of which contribute to the efficient and professional operation of the business. Using a genuine appreciation and understanding of protocol, discretion, confidentiality, diplomacy, and professionalism, the incumbent interprets and makes decisions in accordance with prescribed procedures and practices of the company.

The Executive Assistant may also deal with other administrators, other members of the senior leadership team and clients. This interaction often involves matters of a confidential and highly sensitive nature. The Executive Assistant must have well-developed time management skills, diplomacy, discretion, and initiative.

Requirements :

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word experience is an asset
  • Accuracy of work, attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to work independently, while also being a collaborative team member
  • High standards of ethics and confidentiality
  • Quick learner who is teachable and thrives in fast-paced, highly productive environment
  • Reliable, responsible and honest work ethic
  • Filing, reporting, and other general administrative duties as needed to keep the office running smoothly and meet various project objectives
  • Some errands - valid drivers license and transportation required

Education and Experience

  • Related administrative experience at a senior executive level, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Ideally have more than 2 years in support at an executive level.
  • Competencies

  • Judgment, discretion and ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Possess a strong capacity for attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and use tact and discretion in all interactions.
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative and set priorities and has excellent organizational skills.
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level, including proficiency with Outlook email and calendar functions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel to local company events and activities may be required.
  • Salary Information

    This is a part-time in-office position (between the hours of Monday to Friday 7 : 00am -3 : 30pm) with periodic overtime. The base salary for this position is $60,000 to $70,000, depending on experience.
