Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, scheduling, and performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. This role also oversees facility maintenance as well as ensuring all production equipment functions correctly and receives regular preventive maintenance.
Duties :
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and electric schematics
- Installing new production equipment.
- Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, and production-related equipment.
- Locating problems through close observation of machinery and staff practices.
- Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.
- Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
- Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
- Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
- Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
- Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.
- Performing careful inventory and stock checks and placing orders for required material and equipment.
- Sourcing replacement parts and liaising with vendors.
- Attending daily meetings and scheduling training workshops were required.
- Controlling downtime by communicating with staff and implementing contingency measures.
- Assisting with training of all new hires.
- Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.
Required Skills :
Degree or Diploma in mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, or any relevant Engineering discipline.Mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanically, electrical, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment as well as remain calm and act responsibly during emergencies.Previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician.Familiarity with CCOHS safety standards and regulations.Basic computer and report writing skills.Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.Driver's license and willingness to work overtime if necessary.Please note a reliable vehicle is required for transportation.Job Type : Full-time
