Mechanical Design Engineer
Location : Oshawa, Ontario (In-Office)
Job Type : Full-time
Schedule : Day Shift
Experience : 5–15 years
Salary Range : $70,000 to 85,000
Our client, a leading is hiring manufacturer of custom commercial trailers based in Oshawa, Ontario, is actively looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer. In this role, you will lead the mechanical design and engineering for steel and aluminum products for the aggregate, construction and agricultural industries.
Responsibilities :
- Lead mechanical design projects from concept through production
- Mentor and train two Mechanical Technologists, fostering technical growth and collaboration
- Translate 3D models into precise 2D drawings for manufacturing using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to meet business and production goals
- Solve design and production challenges with creativity and confidence
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, integrity, and professionalism
Continuously improve design processes and tools
