Accounting Coordinator
Location : Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – Ottawa’s west end
Work arrangement : Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Pay rate : CA$27.00 – CA$30.00 per hour
This role is ideal for candidates who have worked in professional services , public accounting , or multi‑entity environments and are comfortable supporting full‑cycle accounting tasks.
This position is suited for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and is comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Process AP invoices, coding, approvals, and payment runs.
- Prepare AR invoices, apply payments, and support basic collections.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and general ledger updates.
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month‑end close : accruals, schedules, and reporting support.
- Provide light payroll administration : new hire setup, benefits updates, and payroll inputs into ADP.
- Maintain organized financial documentation.
- Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries.
- Support ad hoc accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or AP / AR roles.Experience with full‑cycle accounting, reconciliations, and month‑end support.Familiarity with ADP for payroll inputs or employee data is an asset.Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, CaseWare, etc.).Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information.Seniority level
