Job description

Director Program Management, Global

Directly responsible for all the NA Program Managers and dotted line responsibility for Chinese Program Managers
Lead and manage all the day-to-day global program management activities, cradle to grave including new business quoting, new program kick off, new program launching, production program maintenance, program EOP, etc.
Lead all the global program management gate review process including quote approval
Interface with all the external / internal customers & suppliers, and cross functional team to manage program timing, budget and open issues
Participate in strategic discussions including M&A, investment plan, etc.
Must have the sense of when, how and who to escalate the hot issues in the program
He or she will be the go-to person to bring Senior Management up to speed for all the details in all the different programs at different stages
Preferred to be located in GTA. or Windsor
Must have program management experience in automotive industry for at least 10 years
Must have highly developed coordination and negotiation skillset
Highly prefer to have global program management experience in a global organization
Must have good relationship with any OEM or Tier 1 supplier team members including purchasing, engineering, or supplier quality.
Must have customer management experience (knows how to handle difficult conversations)
Must have hands on shop floor manufacturing experience
Must have people management experience, preferred to have 5 years+
