Residential HVAC Service Technician

As a Journeyperson HVAC Technician, you will be essential in providing expertise in servicing and installing heat pumps, furnaces, AC units, and ductless split systems. Additionally, you will work on MUAs, RTUs, SWAMP coolers, water source heat pumps, and VRF systems.

Hourly Wage:

$41-$52/hr depending on experience (Permanent Full Time)

Work Shift:

4 day work week, rotating on-call shift

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years HVAC experience
• Completion of B.C. Trades Qualification or Inter-Provincial Certificate in HVAC/Refrigeration
• A valid Gas B Ticket
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights and in confined spaces
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Criminal record check may be part of the hiring process
• Outstanding English written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Safety focused, and attention to detail
• Confident with technology for timesheets and job reporting

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Servicing new and existing accounts by analyzing work orders, investigating complaints, identifying solutions, conducting tests, and resolving problems
• Troubleshooting issues with all commercial and industrial HVAC / Refrigeration equipment
• Installing or retrofitting equipment as per Manufacturer requirements
• Inspecting product quality and installation to ensure conformance and customer satisfaction
• Documenting service and installation actions by completing electronic forms, reports, logs, and records
• Other duties as assigned
