Forklift Operator

Adecco is currently seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our clients team on a temporary basis in Ladysmith, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Sit-Down Counterbalance Forklift, performing various warehouse duties including shipping, receiving, and packaging, and ensuring the efficient movement of inventory within the facility.

• Pay rate : $24 / hour.
• Location : Ladysmith, BC
• Shifts : Monday-Sunday : Must be able to work 7 days a week 9 : 00am-4 : 00pm and 4 : 00pm-12 : 00am
• Job type : Temporary Full-time

Responsibilities :

• Operate a Sit-Down Counterbalance Forklift
• Perform shipping, receiving, and packaging duties
• Work with warehouse management systems and RF scanners
• Maintain daily equipment logs and perform safety checks
• Load / unload inventory from trucks and stack products
• Ensure proper quantities against bills of lading
• Stage products and assist with inventory movement
• Lift items weighing up to 50lbs

Requirements :

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
• Must be certified on a Sit-Down Counterbalance Forklift
• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in a fast-paced distribution environment preferred
• Steel toe boots required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Flexible with work schedule
