Mail and Printing Clerk

This position offers the chance to play a key role in mailroom and shipping operations for a leading organization in the printing industry. You will work with advanced equipment, manage shipments, and ensure smooth processes in a professional and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare mail and packages for external shipment using mail services such as fax, air express, freight, and postal services.
  • Receive, sort, and process incoming mail, packages, and supplies, and notify recipients as needed.
  • Operate color production printers and perform basic printing tasks.
  • Record and process information on accountable mail and maintain accurate logs.
  • Manage shipping and receiving using automated systems for tracking and managing activity.
  • Coordinate with alternative courier or shipping services based on customer requirements.
  • Verify and maintain records for both incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Operate mail equipment including inserters, sorters, and finishing tools.
  • Perform quality checks on outbound mail and maintain security procedures.
  • Handle mail labeling, mail merges, and electronic mail distribution, including scanning and preparing materials.
  • Fulfill assembly and packaging tasks for kitted materials.
  • Conduct regular supply monitoring and replenishment.
  • Track, trace, and resolve mail-related issues, ensuring workflow optimization and cost savings.
  • Deliver and pick up mail on scheduled runs.
  • What you will need to succeed :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a professional working environment, preferably in a client-facing role.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Good communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 55 pounds.
  • Must be able to remain on your feet for 80% of the workday.
  • Experience with lift trucks and material handling equipment is a plus.
  • Dock experience is an asset.
