Job description :
Are you passionate about innovation in critical systems? Want to contribute to an electrical revolution in the aerospace sector? Join a dynamic team designing a next-generation, flight-certifiable electrical storage system (ESS).
Position based on Montreal's South Shore, with occasional travel to Switzerland.
Your mission:
As a systems engineer, you will play a key role in the definition, development and integration of an ESS for demanding aeronautical applications. Your responsibilities include:
Architecture & system engineering:
- Define the electrical system architecture and its technical requirements.
- Analyze the electrical network and load profiles (ELA).
- Ensure compliance with certification standards (DO-160, DO-254, ARP4754A, etc.).
Battery specialization:
- Specify performance, safety, durability and interface requirements for batteries.
- Participate in technological choices (cells, BMS, cooling, etc.).
- Monitor battery tests (aging, thermal runaway, abuse tests) and analyze results.
Integration & validation:
- Participate in aircraft integration phases.
- Contribute to ground and flight tests.
- Draft technical documents (specifications, V&V reports, safety analyses, etc.).
Why join us?
- Ambitious, concrete project at the heart of the aeronautical energy transition.
- International and multidisciplinary environment.
- Direct impact on innovative, certifiable solutions.
Skills and qualifications :
- +5 years' experience in systems engineering in critical environments (aeronautics, rail, automotive...).
- Solid expertise in energy storage systems or power electronics.
- Good knowledge of aeronautical certification standards.
- Mastery of tools and methods: V&V, FMEA, SSA, HIL/SIL, EMI/EMC.
- Ideally, experience with lithium-ion batteries and management systems (BMS).
- Fluent English (French appreciated).
- Autonomy, rigor, team spirit and taste for innovation.
