Shifts

Rotating Day Shift (continental)
Monday to Thursday Nightshift
Weekend Nightshift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Overview

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for direct examination of product to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and align with legislation and customer specifications. Requiring a high level of attention to detail, the Quality Control Inspector strictly adheres to the organization’s quality assurance procedures and policies and identifies defects and / or production errors to prevent these materials from entering the supply chain.

Roles & Responsibilities

Create and maintain QA / QC control documentation.

Document Control – organize all inspection documentation papers and online photos provided by inspectors.

Daily inspection of in‑process units : ensure sealing is completed, no missing parts, and all other in‑process inspections are of high quality.

Ensure productions are inspected as determined by company requirements, checking of paperwork.

Daily inspection of paperwork for all in‑process units and report any deficiencies to Quality Supervisor.

Complete sub‑assembly inspections such as motors, coil, evap., furnace, and paint.

Complete unit final inspections.

Review inspection documents and make unit packages.

Report any observed safety issues to the Safety Coach or Safety Coordinator.

Assist with education of other inspectors and production team members.

Inspect drawings and marking / breaking work and ensure it is correct.

Assist marking with Engineering changes where drawings are not correct and submit to Quality Supervisor.

Inspect all aspects of units with the appropriate forms from the beginning to the end and record all discrepancies.

Organize all inspection documentation papers and online photos.

Perform all duties in accordance with Silent‑Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Effective communication skills.

Time management skills.

Critical eye for identifying defects.

Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes.

Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.

Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.

Must be able to carry and move equipment and / or supplies in excess of 40 pounds.

Must be able to read a tape measure and perform simple mathematical fractional equations.

Ability to read blueprints is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

Commercial / Industrial environment.

Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.

Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).

Long periods of standing.

Overtime as required.
