Our Ideal Candidate

Allnorth is currently looking for a Project Coordinator or Junior Project Manager to join our Vancouver team. AS the successful candidate, you will be responsible for leading and supporting project teams to successfully execute small to medium sized projects safely and efficiently.

You will have the opportunity to develop your project management skills under the supervision of our senior project managers and project delivery experts.

As a member of the project team, you will work with technical experts to deliver innovative technical, value-added solutions within set schedules and budgets.

The successful candidate will be engaged in all levels of project delivery, beginning at proposal development and client engagement, and not ending until the completed project is turned over to the client.

Working collaboratively with other Allnorth groups and subcontractors, you will have the opportunity to work with and lead team members to successfully deliver fast-paced projects for clients throughout Canada.

A Day in the Life

The successful candidate will be engaged in fulsome project delivery, beginning at proposal development and client engagement, and not ending until the completed project is turned over to the client.

Working collaboratively with other Allnorth groups and subcontractors, you will have the opportunity to work with and lead team members to successfully deliver fast-paced projects for clients wherever they are located.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Potential involvement in various project activities, including but not limited to : Working with technical teams to generate proposals and project estimates,Tracking earned value, project status, and change management,Scheduling project teams, Procurement and contract management, andDocument control
  • Working with and / or managing both engineering and construction to ensure that work is executed as per design specifications and standards and contractual requirements, while prioritizing safety
  • Building business relationships with current and potential clients
  • Interfacing directly with clients, team members, contractors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations
  • Ensuring projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets to high quality standards
  • Seeking continuous improvement opportunities to positively impact project and team performance
  • Establish and maintain strong interpersonal relationships to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals at all levels, both internal and external to Allnorth

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s Degree relevant to engineering, construction, and / or natural resources is preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience working in construction, engineering, or consulting environment
  • Strong technical writing skills demonstrated through experience in the preparation of correspondence, reports and proposals
  • Effective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation and listening skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and quality
  • Results-oriented with the capacity to successfully manage multiple competing priorities and timelines
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, audit and investigation skills
  • Strong time and task management skills
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • PMP or equivalent certification or experience is an asset

Competitive base salary between $85,000 and $100,000 annually depending on skills and experience. (Note - salary based on full-time position with 40hr work week)
