Family Lawyer / Family Law Associate (Full Time, Hybrid, GTA)

Progressive Legal Solutions is hiring a full time Family Lawyer to join our growing firm in the GTA. This role offers hybrid work, real courtroom exposure, strong mentorship, and fast professional growth. We are looking for a motivated Associate Lawyer who wants hands on family law experience and a long term career path.

We combine high quality legal services with efficient systems, technology, and a client centered approach. The GTA is one of the busiest regions in Ontario for family cases, giving our lawyers exceptional exposure to court work, negotiations, motions, and complex files.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet and advise clients on family law matters
• Draft applications, answers, motions, affidavits, and court materials
• Prepare disclosure requests and support case strategy
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, CanLII, and supporting tools
• Assist with settlement discussions, conferences, and negotiations
• Prepare for trials including witness preparation and document review
• Attend court with the principal lawyer
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties
• Manage files using our case management software

Qualifications

• Licence to practice law in Ontario (required)
• Interest in family law and willingness to grow in a busy practice
• Strong legal writing, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Detail oriented with strong time management skills
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and a "happy warrior" mindset

Work Hours

Full time

Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
