The Senior Manager, Global Sourcing and Supplier Relations oversees the organization’s overall sourcing strategy and manages supplier relationships to diversify and optimize the company’s global manufacturing base. This role is responsible for the creation, negotiation, execution, and lifecycle management of vendor agreements with contract manufacturers, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Additionally, the Senior Manager leads a team to drive strategic supplier sourcing, selection, and qualification to support NewAge's growth and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities :
Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management
- Develop and implement efficient global sourcing strategies that diversify the company’s manufacturing base and ensure achievement of cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
- Identify, qualify, and establish long-term relationships with global manufacturing partners, particularly in Asia and Europe, to meet business needs.
- Lead and manage all aspects of the supplier lifecycle, including evaluation, qualification, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
- Negotiate supplier agreements, focusing on cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and alignment with company goals.
- Monitor market dynamics, including currency fluctuations and raw material trends, to anticipate and mitigate procurement risks.
Operational and Contract Management
Draft, execute, and manage vendor contracts through all stages of the agreement lifecycle.Ensure contracts are compliant with legal and business standards, consulting with the Legal team as needed on risks, disputes, and amendments.Conduct cost breakdowns, scenario analyses, and benchmarking to achieve target prices and margin objectives.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Product Development, Supply Chain, Quality Control, Finance, and Legal, to ensure vendor compliance with contractual terms.Oversee supplier audits, including SMETA and self-assessments, to maintain quality and compliance standards.Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
Lead and mentor a team of 8+ managers, leads, and specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.Work collaboratively with Product Development and Engineering teams to support new product development and supplier onboarding.Build strong internal and external relationships to align sourcing strategies with broader organizational goals.Support the development of effective cost reduction strategies and change management plans in partnership with stakeholders.Reporting and Risk Management
Prepare and present reports summarizing sourcing activities, cost analyses, and supplier performance.Identify and mitigate procurement risks by implementing proactive strategies and controls.Ensure confidentiality and protection of proprietary company information through effective communication protocols and supplier agreements.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS :
Regular travel to the North York headquarters.International travel up to 20% annually, including visits to suppliers and manufacturing partners in Asia, Europe, and other global markets.Qualifications Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Supply Chain Management) preferred.Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in global sourcing or procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Supply Chain Management Professional certification or equivalent is an asset.Previous experience sourcing consumer products for retail markets and managing contract manufacturers globally; specifically Asia and Europe.Strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal and business risks.Strong proficiency in building financial models to analyze and validate supplier costs.Expertise in product sourcing, production, and development processes.Proficiency in social, environmental, and process audit requirements for manufacturers.Exceptional negotiation, project management, and leadership skills.Comfortable analyzing and interpreting data to inform business decisions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.NewAge offers :
