Job description3-4+ years’ proven working experience as a FOOD product developer Manufacturing experience is required. Bachelor's degree in science / food science or a related field. Proficiency in MS Suite Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Strong communication skills : ability to communicate information clearly.
Our client in the GTA is seeking a Product Developer . In this position you will be responsible for the development of products within multiple product categories. Reverse engineering products for Private Label will be a large component of this position, as well as taking the project from bench through all the processes to full scale up and production in a state-of-the-art facility!
Working with a newly created team / division within a high growth (established) organization and category. This is a very fast paced environment with exposure to a range of products.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Create prototype formulations and submit to customer for feedback. Revise as needed
- Design and development of food products / Testing of prototypes
- Creating samples for customers and production
- Develops and refines the processing of ingredients into food products and determines nutritional values
- Documents ingredients, formulations and processes
- Participates in sensory evaluations
- Runs plants trial and responsible for full scale up – from bench to plant (dependent on production schedule)
