What will you do?
- Ensure company’s compliance with department / government regulations and guidelines
- Guide the exports of production / after-market / concept / prototype ensuring compliance with all applicable government export laws and regulations
- Maintain, amend and establish new department or company policies and procedures pertaining to Litens’ import / export compliance initiatives, generate reporting tools and present results
- Determine the landed cost of goods and the feasibility of importing and exporting products using the Harmonized System Tariff
- Analyze global / domestic problems on currency, political change, culture, product embargoes, rates and regulations, and tariff drawbacks
- Investigate and resolve complex, cross-functional / company and multi-location export compliance issues
- Administer all export screening and corporate export training programs
- Prepare / review documents related to customs clearance, banking and exporting for importing / exporting goods
What will you bring?
Bachelor’s Degree in International Trade, Finance, Accounting or other related fieldMinimum one year of experience in international trade and Import / Export complianceCITP (Certified International Trade Professional) designation or a customs broker license is preferredExperienced in Customs government import and export regulations with particular knowledge in tariff classification, NAFTA and OGD requirementsStrong working knowledge and experience in audit practicesStrong analytical and presentation skillsHigh level of proficiency in related computer software including Microsoft Office and MRPRequirement to maintain confidentiality is critical to this roleGlobal logistics experience especially in Asia and Brazil an asset
