Position Summary
Centennial College is looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to support and optimize the College’s Oracle databases, Oracle Application Server, and Banner ERP system. Reporting to the Associate Director, DevOps, the role provides technical leadership in system planning, performance tuning, monitoring, and security.
Working closely with vendors, IT teams and end-users, the DBA supports upgrades, integrations, and quality assurance activities while leading documentation, training, and user support. Key responsibilities include conducting security audits, managing user access, safeguarding systems, and maintaining expertise across RISC / Intel platforms and SAN-storage.
The role also contributes to ERP design and deployment, supports Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning, mentors team members, and offers strategic recommendations to strengthen long term ERP performance and best practices.
