Position : Software Support Engineer (Contract)

Our client is seeking a hands-on and adaptable Software Support Engineer to support a fast-paced, hardware-enabled software environment. This role focuses heavily on onsite support, software provisioning, and large-scale device configuration, ensuring a high-quality experience as products are prepared and delivered to customers.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who thrives in operational settings, is comfortable supporting both software and hardware, and can manage a high volume of requests while maintaining clear documentation and standardized processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support warehouse-based provisioning, including software installation and configuration across large volumes of devices
- Assist with ad-hoc onsite support needs as products arrive and are prepared for customer delivery
- Act as a primary point of contact for end-to-end provisioning and deployment processes
- Coordinate closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and readiness
- Document troubleshooting steps, processes, and instructions to enable consistency and scalability
- Provide technical guidance to non-technical team members using clear, accessible language
- Implement and maintain automation tools, manage code under version control, and write clear commit messages
- Track work using Jira, maintain documentation in Confluence, and participate in on-call coordination workflows
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP, including log analysis, monitoring, and asset management
- Configure and manage VPN solutions to support remote access to deployed products
- Use Android Debug Bridge (ADB) to analyze logs, identify root causes, and troubleshoot device-level issues
- Test RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman and gRPC endpoints using tools like Kreya
- Work with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Share insights from onsite operations with Engineering and QA teams to improve product quality and reliability
