Adecco is recruiting an experienced IM Data Analyst for a 1-year contract with a prominent oil and natural gas company in Calgary, AB.

The role involves managing and controlling master process safety data and drawings for the Superior Refinery. Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Review and ensure accuracy of incoming process safety information and drawings packages
  • Manage equipment and instrument databases, assigning numbers as needed
  • Ensure consistent and correct metadata for equipment tags
  • Maintain control of master copies of drawings, technical, operations, and safety documents
  • Collaborate with technical services, maintenance, and operations at the Superior Refinery
  • Work effectively with staff at various levels and with the corporate head office
  • Ensure current revisions of all Process Safety Information are available, issued, and tracked
  • Support management of concurrent engineering and redline processes
  • Provide training for Process Safety Information management as required
  • Create value-add dashboards to track data quality across departments
  • Create value-add dashboards to track data quality across departments for accurate, timely information. Good data will help increase production time by limited asset downtime, Process Safety incidents which will ultimately reduce operational and incident costs.

Requirements and Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or Technical College Diploma in a related field (information science, records management, engineering, etc.) is an asset
  • ECMS, ECMM, RM, or AIIM certification is a strong asset
  • 3-5 years of experience in process safety, records management, information management, or document control
  • 3-5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Owner Operator, large Contractor, or EPC
  • Knowledge of the petroleum industry, engineering disciplines, and industry-accepted file types
  • Understanding of taxonomy, metadata, and document management practices
  • Experience managing KPI and records retention compliance
  • Experience in writing and implementing information management standards, procedures, and processes
  • Understanding of various systems such as MSDP (procedural documents), SAP PM (Plant Maintenance data) and TechDocs (Engineering documents)
  • Knowledge of engineering and supporting documentation, revision control, review & approval process and Project life cycle
  • Proficiency in identifying Engineering Drawing document types
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Livelink, and SharePoint
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to create comparative analyses
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work independently or within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
