Job description

Our client a longtime local manufacturer is looking for a Team Lead to join their Labelling Department! Our client produces a variety of refinishing and repair products for automotive application.

This role will be responsible for leading a small team in labelling cans as outlined on the manufacturing order. This is a handson position. You will be supplying the line using a reach truck coordinating team members and physically assisting with the work as well. You must be able to lift 35 pounds and read / write / understand English fluently. This position will start as soon as possible.

Salary :

23.00 per hour temporary to permanent.

Hours of Work :

Our client is currently hiring for the night shift although training starts on days. The shift times will be as follows :

During Training) Monday to Friday 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm

After Training) Monday to Friday 4 : 30pm to 5 : 30am

Key Tasks and Responsibilities :

  • Supervising a small team and ensuring the line has adequate supplies.
  • Safely labelling cans as outlined on the manufacturing order.
  • Interpreting and creating paperwork related to the order .
  • Communication with team members about requirements and quality to ensure smooth operation.
  • Routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment.
  • With attention to detail checking labels to ensure accuracy.
  • General help with other tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Team Lead or Supervisory experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a strong asset.
  • Must have strong English communication skills both spoken and written.
  • Forklift certification or experience (reach truck) is required.
  • Comfort level with completing a lot of paperwork.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work fulltime 40 hours per week.
  • Demonstrable work ethic and reliability.
  • Attention to detail and good time management skills.
