ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Head of Graphic Design, the Graphic Designer is responsible for providing design support, whether that is creating graphic designs from scratch, creating artwork based on concepts from the team, vetting client supplied artwork or creating print layouts for production / prototype. This role is responsible for ensuring all assets adhere to design tolerances and brand guidelines set by customers. As well, you will be working with internal teams to prepare presentations for customers and provide necessary information on designs.
HIGHLIGHTS OF WHAT YOU WILL DO
Operational Excellence :
Review design requests to ensure comprehension and completeness of information provided in order to execute on requested deliverables and achieve the deliverable objectivesDevelop concept art for temporary, semi-permanent, and permanent displays driven from customer requests Develop concept renderings driven from customer requests that meet customer expectations and specifications and highlight the key design featuresDevelop and prepare final graphics templates in adherence with brand guidelinesSelf-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical milestones and deadlinesOccasionally prepare display design layouts and production art directed by the Graphic Production ManagerOccasionally proof hard copy content from printing vendors following checklists to ensure images, fonts, and graphics are accurateRevise designs and art based on feedback from internal and external teamsWork with structural design team and Graphic Production Manager to ensure the accuracy of prototype and production dielines align with print ready artworkManage project files in accordance with Company standard requirements and policiesAdheres to company standard operating procedures and policies and utilizes company tools and resources to operate as required on a daily basisManage and execute on multiple, lower profile projects while juggling multiple project deadlinesDeliver projects On-time In-FullPeople :

Ensures team compliance with design request process and related procedures so as to not compromise project successObtains a complete and thorough understanding of the project scope at project hand off in order to effectively and efficiently execute the deliverablesProactively addresses and delivers solutions on project challenges in order to ensure On-Time In-Full delivery and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of deliverables and requests assistance when necessaryIdentifies and communicates in timely fashion, issues with estimated project times and / or execution time overages that will impact deliverable deadlines and / or compromise upcoming project deadlines'Proactively monitors current and upcoming workload so as to invest the appropriate amount of time into deliverable and not compromise upcoming deliverablesOccasionally attends customer briefing and brainstorming sessionFinancial :

3 - 5 years of experience in a Graphic Design role in packaging, corrugate POP displays and promotional designDegree in Graphic Design, Packaging design, Digital Media Design or equivalent work experience / education intermediate knowledge of structural layouts and ability to produce conceptual artIntermediate - expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)A solid working knowledge of prototype and production printing processesKnowledge and understanding of colour and finish specifications relative to printing and manufacturing processes and materialsAbility to produce sketch ideation (informal and formal)Experience using a large-format printer-setup and operationEffective teamwork capabilitiesAbility to manage and organize multiple competing prioritiesSuperior attention to detailStrong organizational and time management skillsStrong problem identification and problem resolution skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExtremely competitive, ambitious and goal-orientedTackles projects and situations aggressivelyEnjoys overcoming objections / resistance and achieving goals in the face of obstaclesRestless, driving and energeticSense of urgency to get things done quicklyWorks well under pressure and deadlineLogical, task oriented and analyticalLikely to think through a problem and weigh the pros and consAble to maintain a balance between being independent and compliantAble to follow guidelines but is also capable of showing some initiativeNice to have - experience with 3D modelling software (3DS Max with V-Ray is preferred)Please attach link to portfolioIf this sounds like you, please do not hesitate to apply.
