Fitness Centre Attendant

Casual – Hours vary from 0 – 44 / week. You will report directly to the Fitness Centre Supervisor and be responsible for providing a welcoming, supportive environment for patrons of the Fitness Center. You will assist with the safe and proper use of fitness equipment, foster positive relationships with members, ensure high standards of safety, cleanliness, and customer service, assist with youth engagement, and perform closing duties to set the following opening shift up for success.

In this role, you will provide a welcoming, supportive environment for patrons of the Fitness Center and assist with the safe use of fitness equipment, fostering positive relationships with members and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

What will you do?

As a Fitness Center Attendant, You Will

• Provide exceptional customer service by welcoming patrons and assisting with their fitness goals
• Educate members on the proper use of fitness equipment and ensure safety standards are met
• Perform routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe and clean environment
• Oversee the fitness center desk, providing wristbands to members, checking membership status, and verifying matinee memberships
• Stay informed about group fitness class schedules and assist participants as needed
• Build positive and lasting relationships with fitness members to encourage their success and satisfaction
• Actively contribute to a positive, energetic, and motivating atmosphere within the fitness center
