Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Autobody Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition after accidents or damage. As an Autobody Technician, you will work with various tools and equipment, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed.
- Perform body repairs using a variety of techniques, including welding, sanding, and painting.
- Replace or repair damaged parts such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
- Utilize measuring tools and equipment to align frames and bodies.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to factory standards and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other team members, including estimators and painters, to ensure efficient workflow.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in autobody repair is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Autobody Technician or in a similar role.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to safety standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
