Controls Product Manager
Location: Vaughan, Ontario
Salary: $100,000–$130,000 + Bonus

Modern Technical Staffing is proud to partner with a growing, industry-leading organization in the steam, energy, and fluid control space. We are seeking a technically strong, solutions-driven Controls Product Manager to support national product strategy, drive the development of new control solutions, and act as a key technical resource for sales, engineering, and service teams across Canada.
This role is ideal for an engineer with deep experience in valves, actuators, control panels, and industrial control systems who enjoys blending technical expertise with product strategy, training, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Sales and Application Engineering teams with control system sales initiatives across Canada.
- Lead the development, release, and lifecycle management of new local control solutions in collaboration with Engineering and Operations.
- Support the national rollout of solutions and products.
- Travel approximately 30% across Canada to support customers, teams, and product initiatives.
- Provide training, technical support, and continuous improvement guidance for control system solutions.
- Assist Service and Commissioning teams with troubleshooting and solution implementation.
- Develop technical literature including specifications, technical instructions (TI), and installation/maintenance information (IMI) for new and existing products.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with valves, including control valves, isolation valves, actuators, and positioners.
- Control panel experience, including exposure to programming and panel integration.
- Exposure to flow metering technologies.
- 5–10 years of technical experience in valves, actuators, and control panel systems.
- Experience in sales, business development, or strategy implementation is an asset.
