TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Material Planner role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Responsibilities :
- Configure and prepare material planning systems ahead of project material needs.
- Collaborate with project teams to define execution roles and responsibilities.
- Develop and implement material planning strategies aligned with project goals.
- Integrate work breakdown structures and construction packages into planning tools.
- Validate material assignments and support requisition processes.
- Simulate and review material allocation scenarios to optimize availability.
- Provide reporting and solutions for potential material shortages.
- Coordinate surplus material management across teams.
Support additional project-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.12 years’ experience in material planning or related roles.Strong understanding of material management processes in large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards related to material handling and procurement.Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external teams.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.Professional certifications in supply chain, logistics, or project management are preferred.Experience in mining, metals, or heavy industrial sectors.Advanced proficiency in planning software and data analysis tools.
