Job Summary :
This person will drive the implementation of best practices to help Semtech achieve its goal of zero-defects for our customers’ product lines.
The incumbent will provide proactive customer support and remediation for RMAs, will respond to customer escalated CAR’s and work with suppliers as necessary to drive product quality improvements.
Responsibilities :
Ensure product quality is attained in the assigned product group or program through fulfillment of workmanship standards, practices and quality program requirements
Assist in problem resolution by coordinating customer returns, including customer communication, leading containment activities, 8D reporting, supporting production
Ensure collaboration and coordination among Marketing, Product and Test Engineering, Application and Design Teams.
Drive continual improvement activities such as Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc. through our process according to ISO9001.
Manage and drive NCMR / Quality Excursions resolutions on their respective product lines.
Participate as a member of the Problem-Solving Team, FMEA meetings and workshops for Quality initiatives, as required.
Manage and coordinate the development on Failure Application Boards and maintain current assets.
Travel required 20-30%
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
1-2 years professional quality process / components experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems. Demonstrated experience with Quality / Process tools such as NCMR, CAPA.
Experience working directly with customers and suppliers. Working knowledge of SPC, FMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, Problem Solving Techniques (8D), Statistical Analysis.
Solid knowledge of Analog / Mix Signal products and product development for datacom applications within the Semiconductor industry.
Knowledge of Assembly, Test and Foundry concepts.
Effective communicator with the ability to interface at all levels within the organization, possessing a thorough written and verbal command of the English language.
